Creating an organization
Ownership of a Solarius organization includes full administrative control over users, services, and billing. If the current owner is leaving or handing off responsibilities, ownership can be transferred to another member of the organization.
What does ownership mean?
The Owner of an organization has the highest level of access. They have full administrative privileges, can manage users, billing, services and security settings, is legally responsible for the organizations data and compliance, and must transfer ownership before departure or if they no longer need access.
There can only be one Owner at any time.
Requirements for transferring ownership
To transfer ownership:
- You must be the current Owner
- The new Owner must already be a member of the organization
- Your account must be in good standing (no outstanding invoices or legal holds)
If the current Owner is inactive or no longer reachable, please contact support. Providing proof of property or legal authority may be required to complete the transfer.
How to transfer ownership
- Log in to id.solarius.me
- Navigate to Organization Settings -> Members
- Find the user you want to assign as the new owner
- Click the "⋮" (More) menu next to their name
- Select "Transfer Ownership"
- Confirm the transfer and re-authenticate if prompted
The new owner will receive an email confirming the change. This action is ximmediate and irreversible without support intervention.
After transferring ownership
- The previous owner becomes an Admin (unless a fallback role was manually provided)
- Billing control, product management, and security authority shifts to the new owner
- Ownership change is logged in your audit history
Deleting an organization
Create a ticket to request deletion of an organization. This is a permanent action that removes all data, users, and services associated with the organization. Deletion is irreversible and should only be done if you are sure you no longer need the organization.
