Creating an organization
Solarius supports organization-level accounts to help teams and businesses manage users, billing, permissions, and product access under one workspace. This page explains how to create and configure an organization using Solarius Identity.
What is an organization?
An organization is a shared workspace within Solarius that allows:
- Teams to collaborate on projects
- Centralized user management (RBAC, invites, roles)
- Shared access to services and resources
- Unified billing for all members
- Central audit and activity logs
Each organization has a designated Owner and may assign multiple Admins or Billing Contacts.
Requirements
Before creating an organization:
- You must have a Solarius Identity account
- You must be logged in at id.solarius.me
- Your organization name must be unique
Creating an organization
- Log in to your Solarius Identity account at id.solarius.me
- Navigate to Organizations in the main dashboard
- Click "Create Organization"
- Enter: Organization Name (Optional) Company Registration or Tax ID to verify your organization as a legal entity Default region (if applicable)
- Choose your initial plan or product bundle
- Review and accept the terms of service
- Click "Create"
Your organization will be provisioned, and you'll be redirected to your newly created organization dashboard, usually <your-organization-name>.solarius.me
.
Invite members
Once your organization is created, you can:
- Go to Team Management
- Invite users by email or providing a sign-up link
- Assign roles (Admin, Member, Billing Contact, Viewer, custom roles)
Team members will receive an email with a secure invitation to join your organization. They can accept the invite to gain access. Automatic user provisioning is supported through OIDC, SAML, or SCIM if configured.
Billing and subscriptions
Billing is centralized for the organization. Read more about organization billing in the Organization billing documentation.
Best practices
- Always assign at least one backup admin to prevent lockouts
- Use role-based access control for large teams
- Configure MFA enforcement for added security
- Regularly review member access and permissions
- Keep your organization information up to date
- Use the audit logs to monitor activity and changes
Renaming or deleting an organization
To rename or deactivate your organization, contact help@solarius.me. Organization deletion requires transferring ownership and may have billing or legal effects, so it is not recommended unless absolutely necessary.
